SHOCKING DNA TWIST: Two DNA profiles and latent FINGERPRINTS found on the BLACK GLOVE near Nancy Guthrie’s home — one matched to Nancy during a struggle, the other identified as someone no one expected…

Authorities in Tucson, Arizona confirmed that forensic testing has been completed on a black glove recovered near the perimeter of Nancy Guthrie’s residence. The item was initially collected during an early evidence sweep but was later sent for advanced laboratory analysis after investigators re-evaluated

physical items tied to the scene. According to officials, two distinct DNA profiles were extracted from the fabric, along with partial latent fingerprints preserved on the interior lining.

Law enforcement sources state that one of the DNA samples has been conclusively matched to Nancy. Forensic analysts reportedly believe the biological material is consistent with contact that may have occurred during a physical struggle. While authorities have

not publicly detailed the exact nature of that conclusion, they confirmed that the placement and pattern of the DNA were significant enough to warrant further scrutiny.

The second DNA profile, however, has intensified the investigation. Officials acknowledged that it has been identified and linked to a known individual, though the name has not been released publicly. Detectives are now examining prior statements, alibis, and any documented interactions between that individual and Nancy in the days leading up to her disappearance.

Fingerprint specialists also recovered partial ridge detail from the glove’s interior surface. Authorities have not confirmed whether the fingerprints correspond to either of the DNA profiles or represent an additional contributor. The glove is currently undergoing supplementary trace analysis to determine whether fibers, soil particles, or environmental residue could further clarify how and when it was deposited near the property.

Police emphasize that while the forensic findings represent a major development, no charges have been announced at this time. Investigators caution that DNA presence alone does not establish criminal liability and must be evaluated within the broader evidentiary context.

The investigation remains active as detectives continue interviewing persons of interest and reviewing surveillance, timeline data, and laboratory results.
